I bought this saw because it was related to Grizzlys g0691, I was able to pick it up locally and saved a little money on the freight and liftgate service that Grizzly charges. There were no shipping charges for the Shop Fox, I did have to pay sales tax.
Setup, I needed a second set of hands to help with the tables and rails; I also needed help getting the saw off of the pallets that it came on. The saw was bolted to a 3x3 pallet and sat on a 4x4 pallet and packed extremely well. The miter slots were dead on with the saw blade from get go, I also useds a wixey gauge on the blade, in 45 degree position the gauge read 44.9, one little squeeze of the handle and 45.0, I was shocked on that. Trust me I would be happy with 44 degrees knowing how my other saw worked! I really like the fence, it's easy to adjust and took minimal time to get square to the blade, the miter gauge that's included is much, much better than the Jet that I had and took a second of tweaking. The miter...Read more

Bought this saw to replace a hybrid. It shipped via freight truck to a local freight company where it was loaded up on my truck. I am lucky because I have a tractor w/ a front end loader that I used to unload this very heavy item. The saw was packed well except for the power plug which got sandwiched internally and the prongs were completely crushed. I replaced the plug myself. Assembly was not terribly hard considering the weight and with the help of my nine year old we managed to have it together in less than a day. The W1820 needed only minor alignments/ adjustment to set the fence and the miter slots were dead on parallel to the saw blade. The saw comes with an excellent miter gauge. Thanks Shop Fox for not going cheap on that accessory!
I only have about 40 hours on the machine so far; but it has good power and candle handle anything I'm going to put through it. I had read reviews on other sites where users did not like the switch placement because they have...Read more
