With a 25-by-30-foot table, the Metabo 10-Inch Table Saw without Stand extends out 24 degrees wide to cut large materials safely and accurately. With a powerful 2000-watt, 15 Amp motor, it delivers a no-load speed up to 3,950 RPM. Soft-start technology provides a smooth start and silent running of the motor. The beveling of the saw blade has stops at 0 and 45 degrees and can also go to -1.5 and 46.5 degrees for undercutting without having to use any tools. Other features are a T-slotted miter gage to start wide crosscuts safely and accurately, an on-board tool and blade storage area, and a push stick for safety while working with small pieces of material. A 10-inch 34-tooth carbide tipped blade is included along with a dust port to hook up a 2-degree hose for dust collection. A dado insert is an optional accessory. This table saw comes with a 3-year warranty.
Because I'm in the market for a nicer quality portable table saw, I just compared them side by side in a store. The brands include DeWalt, Bosch, Porter Cable and Metabo. All portable table saws make compromises when compared to a full sized table saw. Yet, for the higher end/quality portables, I think that it is fair to expect something that is a little closer to a full sized floor model than the less expensive models. All brands had nice solid fences (locked on far end to reduce movement). All had extending tables to increase cut width.
The Metabo excelled in that it had a significantly deeper table than the others. This would be a great asset for ripping longer boards and large sheet material. The Metabo also seemed be a little more solidly built than the others: motor mounting was very good, tilt adjustment was better than the plastic gear system in the Porter Cable, etc.
