The Freud Difference Freud manufactures some of the most innovative, technologically advanced saw blades in the world. To ensure that the highest quality products meet the toughest design standards, Freud owns and operates six manufacturing facilities in Western Europe. Freud is one of the few manufacturers of woodworking tools in the world that produces its own MicroGrain carbide with titanium, called TiCo -- a combination of titanium and cobalt. Freud develops different types of carbide for each application to maximize the cutting life and performance of the tool; and Freud also operates one of the most modern product development research centers in Europe. By overseeing the entire manufacturing process from start to finish, Freud guarantees some of the highest quality, most advanced products in the industry.
About Freud Industrial Blades Freud’s industrial series blades were designed for the serious woodworker. Available in a variety of styles for different applications, LU blades feature thick carbide tips, precision-tensioned bodies found in every Freud quality blade. Some LU blades include a red Teflon coating that helps reduce friction, heat build-up, and gumming -- which prolongs the life of the blade.
About this General Purpose Saw Blade Freud's patent-pending Premier Fusion saw blade is the solution to almost any woodworker's problems. Exclusive expansion slots are combined with a special double-side grind, and a Hi-ATB permits this laser-cut blade to do it all. Freud's TiCo H-Density carbide and Perma-shield coating is icing on the cake, keeping the blade strong, straight, and cutting smoothly as it resists heat damage.

Side-grind, Hi-ATB Teeth for Exceptional VersatilityThis Premiere Fusion blade makes big projects more efficient by allowing you to move from start to finish without changing blades or sacrificing precision. The blade's configuration fuses 30-degree, Hi-ATB teeth with Freud's double-side-grind tooth geometry. Whether you're working with hard- or softwood, this design provides a smooth side finish while crosscutting and while ripping. It also delivers flawless, chip-free finishes on the top side and the bottom side, when working with hard-to-handle materials like double-sided laminate, veneered plywood, or melamine.
This high-tech Fusion blade's ideal working range when ripping includes materials that range from 3/8 to 1-1/2 inches thick. When crosscutting, its ideal range includes materials that are 3/4 to 3-1/2 inches thick. It has a 5/8-inch arbor and produces a 0.126 kerf.
Unique Polymer Filler for Superior, Anti-Vibration DesignLike all Freud blades, this Fusion blade is precision balanced and pretensioned for truer cuts under heavy loads. However, its unique design takes Freud's standard laser-cut, anti-vibration slots to the next level. Paired with a specially formulated polymer filler, these slots reduce side-to-side movement for cleaner finishes, longer blade life, and reduced noise while you work. And because the entire blade is laser cut from high-strength steel, you can trust that it will stay stable, flat, and true, even after prolonged use.
High-Density Carbide for Maximum Cutting PerformanceThis Fusion blade's 40 teeth are finished with tips made from Freud's application-specific TiCo high-density carbide. The TiCo blend used in Fusion Series blades offers a mix of density, hardness, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and impact resistance that's ideally matched to the varied demands placed on a multi-use blade.
With teeth that start out sharper and deliver improved edge retention, the blade can go longer between sharpenings,s and will hold up longer--saving you time and money.
Perma-SHIELD Coating Reduces Friction and Heat BuildupBuilt to withstand tough use in less-than-ideal conditions, this blade is finished with Freud's red Perma-SHIELD--a non-stick coating that reduces friction and nearly eliminates the heat buildup that excess friction can cause. By providing complete thermal insulation, this coating protects your tools and your work surface. And it resists binding when the blade is used for large-volume cutting applications, which reduces blade warp.
As a lubricating feature, Perma-SHIELD allows the blade to spin freely while reducing stress on the motor and carriage of your saw. In addition, this coating helps prevent debris collection and resin or "pitch" buildup. Since gummy pitch buildup causes extra drag on the motor of your saw, less buildup is another little convenience that translates into longer tool life and longer blade life. It also means less downtime for blade cleaning, so you get jobs done faster.
This industrial saw blade is backed by Freud's limited lifetime warranty.

Own both the Woodworker II and this blade, both great blades. Freud finish is smoother, and the blade is so well balanced there is nor run out and no wobble! my only qualm is shipping if this blade by Amazon needs to be better, the sleeve is thin, and this has to be wrapped properly to avoid chipping the carbide teeth when handled by Oops brown delivery.

This is a nice blade. It cuts very clean. I like it better than the 30T and 40T WW2 in plywood and melamine. I haven't done extensive ripping in thick dense stock however. But in the 3/4 material I have tried there was no burning in the curly cherry I was using. And the rips were glue ready. Saw marks were minimal as well. The feed rate felt good. However as far as feed rate It wasn't a 24T or 20T rip blade. When I cut some Home Depot Melamine with the right feed rate I got 0 tear out. I looked, and didn't find any. It was like using an 80T Hi-ATB blade (which I did for comparison). But I guess zero is zero. So as far as 1 blade for most tasks I would highly recommend it. I don't know if I would justify the price if I were going to be doing a ton of ripping in thick stock, and or a ton of plywood or cross cutting. I'd probably be better off getting a blade dedicated for each purpose for the longevity. But as a hobbyist using a single blade for a whole project with great results,...Read more

I am a passionate woodworker that spends about 30 hours per week in my woodshop. My usual table saw blade is the Forrest Woodworker II. Recently, one of my cheaper general purpose blades reached the end of its life so I decided to give the Freud P410 blade a shot based on the good reviews. After one day of use... actually, after only a few minutes of use... I was ready to take this blade off and throw it in the trash. It left burn marks on both sides of the cut... the blade pushes back on any wood I try to cut... pushes so hard I had to muscle it through. After the first cut, I started standing out of the way because it wants to kick back the wood. I checked the alignments of my table saw and all was perfectly aligned. Blade was at a perfect 90 degrees (as tested with my engineers square.) The blade was also perfectly parallel with the fence. I put my Woodworker II back on the saw and it cut perfectly with no effort and no burning. I then tried a cheap general purpose blade...Read more
