This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Bosch 4100-RT 10-Inch Worksite Table Saw (Tools & Home Improvement) I think that my Bosch 4000 series table saw must have lasted me 10 years, but it was starting to fall apart so I got the 4100 to replace it. the 4100 is a better saw, easier to adjust and a slightly more solid feel. My reconditioned one works just fine--but just a caveat--it does not fit on the bases designed for the 4000 series saw. I was able to make an adapter out of a couple of wood planks to attach it, but it was a bit of a pain. Just be aware of that if you are thinking to do what I did. Other than that--5 stars. A lightweight, powerful saw that I expect to last a decade like my last Bosch. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Bosch 4100-RT 10-Inch Worksite Table Saw (Tools & Home Improvement) All I can say is WOW what a saw. this is a very complete Circular Saw capable of all the actions of a shop table saw, use of dado cutting heads, setting up to cut large pieces, ripping etc. I am using it in my amateur home remodel and have he saw set up in my shop/living room. It is very quiet and dust collection is not a problem using my shop vac hooked up to the dust exhaust of the saw. I would recommend getting the left table extension when you purchase the saw to give a full width cutting surface capable of cutting wide objects. I had a professional carpenter come in to do some of the work inside the house and he said that he has the same saw, which helped me feel that made the right choice. On point I would like would be a crank to adjust the table bevel, but the system used is easy enough to align accurately with a square. 9 of 12 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Bosch 4100-RT 10-Inch Worksite Table Saw (Tools & Home Improvement) I bought this reconditioned saw and a reconditioned Bosch Airsweep from CPO Bosch through Amazon. Both tools are of superior quality, but it is obvious that both had been previously owned and returned because of minor damage. Any cursory inspection of either tool would have caught the damage, it's obvious that they were either not inspected or the inspectors just passed them through knowing the new owner would have to make repairs himself before he could use the tools. My saw arrived with a ding in the fence rail that prevented the fence from moving its full range. I did not have a file of the right size to remove the burr and could not use the saw until I made a run to store. With the Airsweep I had to order a part before I could put on the wheels. It cost me nothing but a two week wait for the part. For some people these problems would be mere annoyances; for me, I expected that these tools would be reconditioned and ready to go as advertised; I feel deceived. |
