I just received my new Unisaw last week also and I wasn't going to post anything just yet but in light of the first review - I have to say something. This is a fine piece of equipment and I have no complaints thus far. The main aspect of the first review I will address is that, according to articles I have read from several sources, this saw is pretty much American made - including the Biesemeyer Fence - reference an article in Popular Woodworking Magazine from January 2009 as an example, where they actually toured the Jackson Tennessee plant where the saw and fence components are MANUFACTURED - not just put together. The motor is by Marathon which is made/assembled in the USA as well. The blade they ship with it is also American made - but my Forest blade is still a bit better (also American made). So please know that while MOST of the other saws are manufactured elsewhere - the Unisaw is made right here and is worth every penny, at least so far. I live in the suburbs , the saw arrived as stated and the truck had a lift gate to unload it as well as a small hydraulic cart to move it where I wanted it. Great Its very heavy about 600 lbs with the packaging including 2 palletts. It was wrapped very well , some card board was scuffed , I opened it and found no damaged. The delivering carrier had to remove the long fence (it was packaged vertically with the rest of the saw) they had to remove it to get it in the truck. All is well.

This is a five (5) horsepower saw.
It required a 40 amp circuit breaker, so before you buy it you MUST have a 40 amp circuit with 10 gauge wiring. It has a plug on the saw. The circuit is 40 amp 220 volt. I thought I had the correct set up but NO. I had 220 volt with a "20 amp" circuit so I had to hire a electrician to wire it up. Luckily it was about 30 feet (in my shop with easy access to install the wiring.

The saw is very smooth , powerful and fairly quiet.
