36-981 Delta 1.5HP Table Saw CI Wings 30" Unifence

Comment: This contractor's table saw works well, and the unifence is accurate. Overall it is a good little unit with only 2 minor problems. The first is the amoung of space around the motor and belt. It is really excessive and allows much too much air into the unit which degrades the ability of dust collection to remove the majority of the sawdust.

the second problem is the extension table. It is attached to the saw by the most idiotic method I have ever seen. The idea of attaching it to the saw by L shaped metal bars and screwing the bars to the underside of the extension is worthless. I will modify it so that the connection is solid and will not move as well as modifying the legs to connect to the saws legs with reinforcement on the legs and extension in addition to reinforcement on the table saw end.

With this modification, the extension should be solid and better than what the designers came up with.
